27Division18 Posted September 23, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2018 Was the eagle found on a WW2 Army Nurse Corps or WAC Officer's cap the same as that found on the male officer's peak cap?

cutiger83 Posted September 24, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2018 The WAAC had a different cap insignia nicknamed the "walking buzzard". With transformation into the WAC the Army eagle was worn the same as the men. The first pattern of the ANC service cap did not have any insignia but some of the nurses would pin on their ANC collar insignia. The pattern of the service cap was changed a few months later and the same insignia as the men was worn.
