Pegasus6 Posted September 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2018 Hey all, Been hitting up the Antique stores in the area for the better part of the last year, finally paid off with a big item ie not a can of boot dubbing. Found a beautiful M5 Assault Gas Mask 44 dated with the proper E3 Crown Gas Canister correct for D-Day, dated May 44. Struck out at 2 places, 3rd one paid off! -Pegasus6

one50 Posted September 24, 2018 Share #5 Posted September 24, 2018 Is the filter canister body steel or aluminum? Steel = early filter bodies. Aluminum = not so early Whats the carrier say the mask is? Thanks Dan
Pegasus6 Posted September 24, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted September 24, 2018 Dan, Its a CROWN E3 cannister the early type, 5-44 dated; the mask itself is 44 dated. -Michael
