MastersMate Posted September 21, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2018 From John Stacey's book, The 3rd class Storekeeper (Technical) was authorized late in WW2 but a separate specialty mark was not approved. The crow may have been made in anticipation of a separate mark being created.. The 1st class signalman (3 bars) was worn by non rated men with special signalman qualifications.
