I'm one of the archivists for my local historical society and we get donations from time to time of military memorabilia or family histories, some I'm familiar with and can easily determine unit histories and such, but occasionally I get things or hear stories that leave me somewhat stumped.

So, I hope to be able to show off a few things from our collection and hopefully find answers to some questions we'll have in the future

Thanks for the nice welcome. I hope to be able to post some of our items in our archives in the next couple of days and maybe get some help on a few things I get stumped on from time to time. We're in a small little farming community outside of Winston Salem, NC but we have a rich history that needs to be preserved. Some of the items/documents in our collection date back to the Revolutionary War all the way to present day.

So, I look forward to enjoying the forum and the conversations we'll have.
