French shoulder cord question

I have seen 2 different types of the French Croix DeGurre cord for WWI. Are they red and green striping the entire length or red "spots" with green stripes.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the fouragueres with the loops on the end are WWII - Korea era and the ones with the OD green button tabs on the end are Vietnam and newer. When I was in the 82nd after I joined the Army in 1979 we wore the one with the button tab on the end. My father, who was in the 82nd in WWII has a French fouraguere that is faded so much it is pink, just like the last one in your second picture.
