gijoeonthego Posted September 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2018 I have seen 2 different types of the French Croix DeGurre cord for WWI. Are they red and green striping the entire length or red "spots" with green stripes. Thanks in advance.

usmedalman Posted September 7, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2018 I believe the fouragueres with the loops on the end are WWII - Korea era and the ones with the OD green button tabs on the end are Vietnam and newer. When I was in the 82nd after I joined the Army in 1979 we wore the one with the button tab on the end. My father, who was in the 82nd in WWII has a French fouraguere that is faded so much it is pink, just like the last one in your second picture.
