I'm hoping someone can help identify this oxygen bottle.

I have searched the interweb and cannot find a unit that has an attached regulator and gage like this one.

Thanks in advance

There were two aircraft oxygen bottles that looked the same, the G-1 and the F-1.....both used during WWII. The F-1 is the one you have pictured, where the G-1 was the main aircraft oxygen bottle for all medium to heavy aircraft (C-47, B-24, B-17, B-25 on and on). The F-1 which looks EXACTLY the same was smaller and used in turret applications.

Cheers,

Ron

A local estate sale person sent me photos today of two Type G-1 low pressure oxygen cylinders, which I'll add to this thread.

The Mil spec number is "MIL C 5886" - These have stamps showing pressure tests, one in 1951.
