doinworkinvans Posted August 30, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 30, 2018 Heyyyyyy...pretty cool! I love Tom Hanks....any war movie that can be made to bring light to history and to veterans is good in my book. Hopefully we can all just enjoy it and not worry about whether its a front seam helmet or count the stitches in the haversack....lets just enjoy it and leave some positive feedback for the forum community! Ray175INF Posted August 30, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted August 30, 2018 Tom Hanks like Denzel Washington don't play or produce crap movies Some may disagree but that's my opinion. It's a shame about The Mighty Eighth series.. last time I heard it was dead in the water Maybe that has since changed.... ?

Ray175INF Posted August 30, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted August 30, 2018 Man I hope so! It would be amazing if it's coming into fruition A bunch of people that were supposedly "in the know" about it were commenting on a few of the military pages on the book of faces a few months back I took it with a grain of salt but I haven't found any legitimate info/updates Do you have any? John Orloff Twitter- it's from Feb 15th 2018. It's the last thing I've seen from a reliable source. "Got a lot of worried Qs about "Masters." Have no fear, I am chewing gum and walking at the same time! There is always down time in one project. No worries-- MASTERS OF THE AIR is going full throttle. But at the same time, so is WATERGATE. Happiest writer in show biz? Me." Then this was from May 7th... "One of the most exciting things for me about MASTERS, is the chance to explore/document the SCALE of WW2... and why, on VE Day, 73 years ago today, NYC and London were like this... EVERYONE celebrated. The world was united in joy (er, mostly)" .
tdogchristy90 Posted September 6, 2018 Share #8 Posted September 6, 2018 So an update of sorts on the Masters of the Air question... 9/6/2018 "So still getting a lot of questions on "Masters of the Air." Will hopefully have an update soon. Standby." - John Orloff, script writer. .
Ray175INF Posted September 6, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted September 6, 2018 .... oh boy... from the scuttlebutt that I read was that it was a profitability issue. I'm very curious as to what the words going to be, I'm hoping for the proverbial "go for launch" on it

It wasn't the Cassin Young though, it looked like she was still in her ww2 configuration. I'll try to find out which one it was

Teamski Posted March 10, 2020 Share #21 Posted March 10, 2020 So Looking forward to this! It has that "right" feel to it and I am going to go nuts seeing Fletchers on the big screen. Looks a little World of Warships, but should really impress! Now the conning tower graphics on the subs and the naval black uniform leave something to be desired to say the least...... -Ski

aerialbridge Posted April 2, 2020 Share #23 Posted April 2, 2020 Still on for May 8, release day? But if so, in home on demand, no theater with the Coronavirus. What's going on with the Mel Gibson Laffey movie? Is it still on the drawing board or scrapped?
JasonT Posted April 2, 2020 Share #24 Posted April 2, 2020 Greyhound got bumped to June 12 for now. I doubt it will be released to on demand only. Any film that's expected to do well, the studios will just delay it's release.
Kurt Barickman Posted April 2, 2020 Share #25 Posted April 2, 2020 Wish it were about the Pacific..... My bias I guess but will still go see it. Kurt
