BigJohn#3RD Posted August 17, 2018 Share #3 Posted August 17, 2018 I think this should go over in the medal section as well. The soldier was a 1st Special Forces Group NCO on an ODA and earned a Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart, which may be floating around out there.
Jarhead8007 Posted August 19, 2018 Share #4 Posted August 19, 2018 It's amazing how many footlockers, seabags, and backpacks the military-contracted movers manage to "lose". Semper Fi,Scott (formerly known as "NS13Jarhead")USMC (Ret) 1980-2007
Basic Rifleman Posted August 29, 2018 Share #5 Posted August 29, 2018 Turns out the contents of the chests were never lost as they were removed prior to being touched by the moving company. The wooden chests were found on the 21st by the moving company in a warehouse used to temporarily store items. A link to the full updated story can be found in the initial posting.
