Phfly1010 Posted August 8, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2018 Would appreciate if someone would give me the basics on telling the difference between life preserver dye markers. I want to purchase a World War II dye marker packet to go with my B-4 survival vest. I've seen dye marker packs with just one hole at the top to secure it and ones with three holes to secure. I've also seen one with no holes that have been glued onto the life preserver. I've seen writing on the top flap only and ones with writing on the top flap and the bottom pocket part. Thanks in advance for any good info.
pararaftanr2 Posted August 8, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2018 To answer your question properly, it would help for us to know if you are doing a USAAF or USN/USMC impression and what specific time frame during the war you are looking at. That will determine which of the several variations you should be looking for to keep it historically accurate.
