John4022 Posted August 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2018 Hello everyone, I just picked up this 505th oval to go with my Italian made jump wing. I read that the oval is possibly British made but I cant find a similar one on the forum to confirm. Anyways, I think it compliments my little display well and its the first oval Ive owned! Allan H. Posted August 4, 2018 Share #5 Posted August 4, 2018 This is indeed a WWII vintage 505th PIR oval. I don't know that I would call it English made, although you will find it described as such on some web sites. I'd love to see details of the wing. You say it is Italian made? Do you have any provenance on it? Allan
John4022 Posted August 4, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted August 4, 2018 Unfortunately I do not have any provenance on the wing. It came in a group I got off eBay back in October. Heres the original thread regarding it.... http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/299326-jump-wings/
