WWII Italian Made 12th Air Force Patch - Circle Shaped Variant

Picked this up today at a local estate sale!

Never have I seen a WWII 12^th Air Force Patch, which is normally triangle shaped, circle shaped!

I looked over the internet and can not find another circle example of a 12^th Air Force Patch.

Anyone else seen one like this? Definitely Italian made! Really nice patch!

A first for me too. An interesting variation using a 15th basic for a 12th. Just proves you never know what;s going to turn up! Congrats......Bob

It is a variation based on the 15th.

 

I have seen ones also with the plain circle(generic air corps) and I assume the makers then could add a 12 or 15 as needed.
