Your patch is appears to be BeVo (a shot of the rear will tell more if it has a rear twill panel, which is typical of a lot of BeVo patches, probably does have one cause of the border we're seeing).

 

It's a Pocket Patch worn on a fatique shirt or field jacket, this unit was stationed in West Germany in the late 50s through the 60s.
