439th Signal Battalion Posted July 28, 2018 Author Share #26 Posted July 28, 2018 Wonderful pictures thank you for sharing.. I recall going to Fort Eustis Virginia in the early 80's prior to my entracne into the Army.. There at Eustis was the gun truck "Eve of Destruction" It was sitting outside in a vehicle park.. I believe now it has been moved inside and has been restored. I have some pictures of the gun truck thagt I took, When I find them I will dig them out.. If memory serves me correctly I also beleive that "Squadron Signal Books" shows photos of gun trucks in Vietnam. I beleive it was in the Armor in Vietnam book but I am not 100% sure.. There may have also been a seperate gun truck book written and published.. Leigh Glad you enjoyed them. These guys had a tough and nerve-wracking duty, especially on that stretch of highway. Lots of action on those rural stretches...

Rakkasan187 Posted July 23, 2022 Share #30 Posted July 23, 2022 Going through some of my old photos I found one image of the gun truck "Eve of Destruction". This was taken at Ft Eustis, in June/July 1984. Leigh
