Fifth Regiment, less Third Battalion, proceeded to theGondrecourt training area as part of First Division, and stationed inMenaucourt and Naix. Until February 1918, combat training was handicapped because many of the Regiment's units were scattered along the Line of Communications performing non-combat duties.
