teufelhund Posted July 25, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2018 101 Years and 10 Days ago Fifth Regiment, less Third Battalion, proceeded to theGondrecourt training area as part of First Division, and stationed inMenaucourt and Naix. Until February 1918, combat training was handicapped because many of the Regiment's units were scattered along the Line of Communications performing non-combat duties. And Yesterday July 15, 2018 Pictures credited to the french forum AEF COLLECTION aefcollections.forumactif.org WOODS NOW U.S MARINE CORPS ENTIRELY, our lines include now the entire Bois de Belleau. warguy Posted July 25, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 25, 2018 Very nice! I am always amazed at how similar things still look in some of these then and now photos. Thanks for posting. Kevin I am eagerly collecting Pre-WWII USMC material. Any Marine Corps Span Am era, WWI, Banana Wars, or China Marine related material is especially sought after. Let me know if you have something you want to part with.
