Huey in M*A*S*H episode

While watching a rerun of an episode of MASH last week (S2, Ep15, "Officers Only") I spotted what looks like a model of a Huey helicopter hanging behind Radar's desk. By the time I reduced the size of the photo to fit in this post, it had lost a lot of definition, but you may still be able to see the distinctive nose. If you can pull up that episode you can pause at that scene and see for yourself. Wonder if that was an oversight, or an intentional prank by the producers.

Btw, Saw the movie, "The Bowery Boys meet the monsters" (1954) last weekend.....In one scene, Satch is sitting in an electric chair style seat....For the headpiece, it appeared they used a WW2 era Hawley liner....Looked to be in wonderful condition except for the pieces the prop guys added..

Assuming the time period of that movie was during or after the war, at least the Hawley liner had already been invented!!!

They have that 60s era Aviation sign in the officers club too that depicts a UH1 .

Wonder if they dangled the Huey over Radar's head every time he would look up and say uh ho choppers....as a que?

 

and why is that guy on his head???

No idea if this is the reason, but the show is set in Korea, but was actually intended as thinly disguised commentary on the Viet Nam war. Maybe these were put in as Easter eggs to make that point?

That was from the episode where the Nurses are evacuated because of a Communist Offensive, and this guy said he's gonna stand on his head till the nurces get back, Burns walks in and tells him to knock it off.
