pfrost Posted July 14, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 14, 2018 There is a "tendency" for earlier pilot wings to lack the thin vertical lines in the shield. It's not a universal trait how ever. Most WWII vintage wings have those fine lines. There is a pretty good thread demonstrating pre war wings. Then Bob's site lists a lot i.e. Interwar wings.
