Hello all -

I am not super informed on WWII us army medic items. Did all medics wear maroon piping on their overseas caps and caduceus brass on their class As even if they were permanently assigned to an infantry unit? Than you!

Best,

Yes, piping Maroon and White twist or fleck cord, if not then the wartime garrison caps without any branch piping, which a whole lot of men wore irregardless of branch. Medical Corps personnel would universally wear on their Class A uniform the Medical Corps disc, unlike other non infantry personnel in WWII, who might wear Infantry discs even though they were not Infantry, IE those in the Headquarters and or Service Companies of Regiments and or Battalions,

When I was a boy my grandmother had a neighbor down the road from the farm.George was a great guy.Years later I read he was a combat medic as I recall in the 90th.He passed away a couple years ago.I think he was 93.Wish I would have taken the time to speak to him about his service in WW2
