warpath Posted July 18, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted July 18, 2018 I assume this came in a package and is not rare,
m1ashooter Posted July 18, 2018 Share #3 Posted July 18, 2018 Looks like a mustard gas cover?
Simon Lerenfort Posted July 18, 2018 Share #4 Posted July 18, 2018 Found remains of many of these in the bottom of foxholes, not rare but it is what it is.
Andrew Posted July 18, 2018 Share #5 Posted July 18, 2018 Maybe there was a variant of the anti-gas cover that was made to withstand lower temperatures?
Simon Lerenfort Posted July 18, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 18, 2018 Think it had more to do with keeping dry.
Andrew Posted July 19, 2018 Share #7 Posted July 19, 2018 I don't doubt they were used to that effect, but the 'cover, protective, individual' was issued for protection against blistering agents. What is unusual is that this one is marked for cold climate. This example otherwise appears to be the same shape as a standard cover.
