gomorgan Posted June 30, 2018 Share #26 Posted June 30, 2018 Wonderful group of inter-war and early war patches, what a haul that would make my year...
36-tex Posted June 30, 2018 Share #27 Posted June 30, 2018 Nice grouping! Just shows again that the stuff is still out there ready to be found!
kiaiokalewa Posted July 1, 2018 Share #28 Posted July 1, 2018 I've never been able to positively identify the circular yellow lighting bolt on the Hawaiian Department coat but Patchjohnson did state that the Massachusetts Women Defense Corps did have a Communication specialists rating just like it. Only difference is the style of the bolt. So maybe your is the Defense Corps rating. Btw is your 30th Division patch directly embordered on the khaki field? mortaydc60 Posted July 2, 2018 Share #32 Posted July 2, 2018 This may throw the forum a curve but the lightning bolt patch maybe OSS and Det 101 related. Basing this on seeing the patch in a display and ID as such in the Canadian National Military Museum in Ottawa.
mortaydc60 Posted July 6, 2018 Share #33 Posted July 6, 2018 Very surprised no one commented on this patch ID; the patch with the single white lightening bolt on red circle. No one with challenge or question?

iron bender Posted July 7, 2018 Share #36 Posted July 7, 2018 As much as I could be wrong, sticking with weird interwar 78th.
mortaydc60 Posted July 7, 2018 Share #37 Posted July 7, 2018 Hi Bob, I was surprised that no one responded to my ID; I did challenge the suggested earlier 78th Div with my OSS possibility.
