Ranger tabs. Original? WW2? At first, I thought the stamp on the back was a lot number, but it looks like a price stamp of 11 cents. Any information appreciated.

These are "original", but as this tab was not instituted until around 1950, it's a post WW2 item. Having the flat edge, this in an early version (i.e., 1950's/60's)

Here's one being worn, the full color RANGER tab on shirt and beret on Fred M. Shepherd, Shepherd in this 1967 photos was either an E-8 or a E-9 at the Ranger Department Ft Benning Georgia.
