WWII Legacy Girl

I won these at an auction recently. Are the WWII caduceus with the white N any more rare than the brown/black N ones? I saw from an Army.mil chart that the white N was from 1942. Might not be anything special, but since I haven't seen too many other, just thought I'd ask.

I'm not an expert but I like to collect ww2 Nurse Caduceus too and I have to say that I encounter the ones with white N's not that often as the ones with brown/black N's.

 

Are these marked by the way?

Nope! The claps have "patent pending" on them but that's it

Not specifically. On the ward dress, the caduceus was worn on the left side of the collar and a pin-on rank on the right side of the collar. But any colored N caduceus could have been used.

Thanks for the information.. I would have thought only the white N would be worn..

 

As this is not in my wheelhouse I learned something new today.. Thank you for your insight..
