Was able to hit a couple tag sales friday and a couple of my shop stops.Was looking like a bust and then hit a show and this followed me home...…

 

The initials JK are carved into the front and rear of the helmet through the blue paint.

Is this probably a D-day helmet because of the blue stripe?

Not all striped helmets are D Day helmets, but it very well could be. Anything is possible

The More I look at it Thats a follow me stripe all day long, white at the top and the bottom showing correct shape and exactly where it would be.

 

Im Very happy you have it mate, I love this lid !!

Can absolutely see this being there on D Day, without a name we will never know but this is one I would want In my collection.
