Siamundo Posted June 24, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2018 Just wanted to ask if anyone might recognize these. They strike me possibly being Asian made. The green material might be silk. One has a cloth backing and the other a fabric-paper like material. I believe Ft Polk had the Third and Fifth Training Brigades (and possibly more) there in the 1960's. The DI designs for both the Third and Fifth featured a tiger with a number 3 or 5 along with a motto.I personally have not seen any patches from either brigade, only distinctive insignia. I don't know if this is any way related to Ft Polk.

Bearmon Posted June 29, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 29, 2018 My initial thought was MILPHAP (Military Provincial Health Assistance Program) but the recognized design for MILPHAP 4 is different than this one. most of the MILPHAP patches I have seen contain a tiger and a number. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/182322-unknown-vietnam-war-era-theatre-made-patch/
Siamundo Posted July 4, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted July 4, 2018 Thank you Bearmon, I had not thought about the possibility of it being a MILHAP patch. You are right though in that the motif is very similar.
