Edelweisse Posted June 22, 2018 Author #3 Posted June 22, 2018 Thank you very much "atb"....that was fast. I just picked up a bunch of these...along with a bunch of patches and some OG-107 fatigues and US Army khaki uniforms (shirts & trousers) I couldn't ID the crests. Again...Thanks
Edelweisse Posted June 23, 2018 Author #4 Posted June 23, 2018 I should have looked up the 9th ID..on web and the Unit Crest would have shown. As stated..I also picked up patches (color & sub-dued) and stickers
patches Posted June 23, 2018 #5 Posted June 23, 2018 Cool, lets see the back of these crests to see the hallmarks, maybe you have the 1965 to 1974 run of these.
Edelweisse Posted June 23, 2018 Author #6 Posted June 23, 2018 I looked on the back....they are marked "E-23" like card....I'll post a picture
patches Posted June 23, 2018 #8 Posted June 23, 2018 See attached pictures Good score, they are Pre-1974 DIs, during and after that year MADE in USA are ordered to be included on the hallmarks. This particular DI for the NCBU's of the 9th Inf Div has from one source a adoption date of 2 January 1966. An example of a post 1974 MADE in USA DI, 73rd Armor.
Edelweisse Posted June 23, 2018 Author #9 Posted June 23, 2018 Thanks Patches …..I'm not too knowledgeable on these ...as you can see...not sure if there is any interest in these since I couldn't pass them up. I also bought two (2) sets of US Army khaki's PFC Vietnam period and a USAF flight jacket...dated 1965 but all the elastic/knitted sleeve, waist and collar are really "shot"
Edelweisse Posted June 23, 2018 Author #10 Posted June 23, 2018 I also bought two (2) camo ascots....see attached contract info in flight jacket
