phantomfixer Posted June 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2018 This was found with two old staff car tags...hanging in the rafters of a mil surplus store for 30 plus years this is dated 1942 VA Beach Origin of the sign is unknown, not sure why a motel/hotel sign would be dated...but thought it cool...it is still hanging up in the rafters.... Bodes Posted June 22, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 22, 2018 Interesting item, but wouldn't solicitation have also been illegal in 1942?.....I would guess it's more of a tongue in cheek item, than an actual sign denoting business policy, Bodes
phantomfixer Posted June 22, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted June 22, 2018 I have no idea...lol but thought it was a cool old sign...legit? No clue..but certainly a mancave item...and who knows about Norfolk in WWII...
aznation Posted June 22, 2018 Share #4 Posted June 22, 2018 IMHO, I could see some dive hotel posting that sign. Personally, I think it's legit and a really neat sign.
fstop61 Posted June 26, 2018 Share #5 Posted June 26, 2018 Part of a series of tongue in cheek signs made to look old. They also make the railroad Jim Crow signs as well.

phantomfixer Posted June 26, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted June 26, 2018 Way cool thanks for that...having it dated 1942 seemed odd...
