Sarge8 Posted June 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 11, 2018 I went to a tag and picked up this lot of items for $5 Included was this canteen set-up. The pouch is near mint and marked " Des Moines Glove and Mfg Co 1945" The cup is marked "U.S. B. E. CO. 1945" The canteen has no markings. It is made of aluminum (non-magnetic) of the style around 1942 with a recessed cap. But it is GREEN. It does not appear to be a home-painted job. The green is even inside the spout, but nothing on the threads. Any idea if this was made this way and by whom?? Thanks for looking. Comments welcome. Frank
