Lucky 7th Armored Posted May 29, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 29, 2018 I was about to give up on my research besides finding his obituary but I found something pretty cool! His obit states he served for in both WWII and the KW. I couldn’t find much regarding his WWII service, but I did find a very cool story from the Korean War. “When his plane was hit and he bailed out, he parachuted into a fox hole of a marine. When the chute was pushed aside, he looked at his fox hole buddy. He was surprised to see a marine with whom he had gone to high school. This fact was published in Star and Stripes. He became a celebrity.” Ive had no luck trying to find the article, unfortunately. Each piece is named to him as well.
