Hi,

I recently picked up a couple of USAF lighters from the a late 50s/early 60s and wanted to show them off here.

First is a well used Japanese made Vulcan lighter. The 31st (H) Bomb Squadron flew the B-36J Peacemaker from Travis AFB starting in 1955. This one is rough and has seen a lot of use but I really like it :)

And here is the second one. It is named, and belonged to a USAF SAC Navigator. I'm assuming this lighter dates from the time period when the unit flew RB-47s from Forbes and Offutt AFB.

It's shame about the corrosion on the top but it's another lighter I'm very happy to add to my growing collection of lighters!

Thanks for looking.

Here's a couple more 1950s USAF lighters I've picked up.

First up is a Penguin brand, engraved from an old MATS unit that flew the C-124 Globemaster.

And another oldie, this one an Ace Brand. The 5th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing (H) flew the RB-36 Peacemaker. This one is a bit rough as you can see but I do love the subject matter!

Here's another USAF lighter pickup. This is a Japanese Vulcan lighter with pretty cool subject matter. This ADC unit was responsible for the air defense of the Pacific Northwest in the 1950s.

Thanks for looking.
