Dogsbody Posted May 6, 2018 Share #9 Posted May 6, 2018 Hello Marcel, Based on the photographs the M1 shell looks like a McCord (I believe that the spot welds near the split in the rim are oval shaped and the feet on the chin strap loops look relatively square) The liner is made by the Mine Safety Appliances Company. Burning Hazard Posted May 7, 2018 Share #13 Posted May 7, 2018 Awesome helmet! Here is a similar one from footage in Italy in 1945, note the swivel bails

TenthA86 Posted March 31, 2019 Share #17 Posted March 31, 2019 Looks like the 10th Mountain Division stencil Very similar to 10th Mtn, but that Serial No (laundry mark) does not add up to anyone in the 10th in Italy. Closest is a Major Levitt, ASN O-361235 Close but no cigar. They also (usually) stenciled the full ASN across the crown of the liner (front to rear)
