pksampley Posted November 23, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2008 I have what I believe to be a Korean Blood Chit in a book about WWII. I contacted a veteran of the Korean Navy who is also a PhD at the University of Illinois and having seen similar items, believes this to be authentic. It is not on silk but apprears to be either cotton cloth or a type of linen. The images appear to be silk-screened and according to the PhD, the writting lets people know that the person carring this is a United States (United Nations) pilot. The scanner cut off the sides of this 13"x9 1/2" item and the US flag has 48 stars so I feel it was produced prior to 1959. If anyone has any additional information as to it's being common or scarce, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Phillip K.
