patches Posted April 25, 2018 Share #6 Posted April 25, 2018 If you want to know is what insignia was sewn here from what we can tell is Rank Sergeant First Class, the U.S. ARMY with what appears to be a Basic Parachute badge, NAME tape with what probably was an ARVN Parachute badge, and the Special Forces patch with AIRBORNE tab, whether these were full color or subdued? impossible to know sorry to say. seanmc1114 Posted May 31, 2018 Share #7 Posted May 31, 2018 There also appears to be ghosting of a round SSI (Third Army or CONARC?) and possibly a shield shaped SSI like the various infantry brigade patches authorized in the 50s and 60s.
