Binocular does not fit in case.

I while ago I bought a us 6x30 binocular on a ww2 market.

Now I also bought an original case to go with it.

Only the binocular does not fit inside the case, not even close.

Could it be that the dry leather case has shrunk quit a bit?

Or would there be something else wrong?

No body has ever had the same problem?

Are there maybe different 6 x30 wartime leather cases?

Or are there different 6 x 30 wartime binoculars?

Leather does at times shrink so that could be a possibility. It could just be the wrong case too. Some photos would be helpful to determine what the problem is.

Do you have any images to post of these items?

It does'nt look like a shrinkage issue to me.Perhaps the Wollensak binoculars and the Nash Kalvinator Corp ones are different sized?

I'm posting an image of the Wollensak binoculars for reference.

The Wollensak case and Binoculars are discussed here:

My binocular has a different shape then your wollensak one,

So much for ww2 us standards...

Obviously a Nash Kelvinator binocular does nit fit in a Wollensak binocular case, despite the fact that their booth 6 x 30...

I quess my options are,

1) hoping the vender will take this case back and refund my money

2) need to buy another case

3) need to buy another binocular...

If I do a quick internet search I realize that the Wollensack is the oddball, the shape is different then the other US 6 x 30 binoculars I see.

Depending on where you bought them,if the return postage isn't an issue,I would probably just return the case for a refund. The safest way to assure a proper binocular/case fit would be to buy the items together,as a set.
