This one is on the way ! My 1st named USMC good conduct

Medal named to a Marine who took part in Inchon landings and was WIA

In early Dec 1950 evacuated dec 6 1950 !

Thanks ! I think he was wounded during Chosin Campaign? Anyone have anymore info on him please help ! Not finding too much !

found on ancestry USMC muster rolls

Jd for Received 13 Dec 50 from 5th Mar 1st Mar Div FMF 13 -28 Dec 50 hospitalized Nara Sta Hosp

Can't find confirmation of WIA ? Evacuated due to illness ?

He isn't on the USMC Korean War casualty roster

 

Quite possibly frostbite, keeping in mind what was going on December 1950

It has always been my understanding that the PH is not awarded for frost bite.

It isn't...and there's no mention of a PH, OP assumed he was WIA because of a roll entry indicating he was hospitalized during the Chosin campaign. As he isn't on the casualty roster, the possibility is he was evacuated from frostbite
