Wedgehead30 Posted April 18, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2018 I'm trying to ID this patch. The closest I've come is a similar gold bullion on blue felt patch identified to the 56th Engineer Regiment (Searchlight). Can anyone offer anymore info on it? Tnx, Scott
world war I nerd Posted April 18, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 18, 2018 There was also a 57th Engineer Regiment (Searchlight} that either went operational just before the Armistice was signed or else it was still training in France & never went into action. If that patch design was used during 1918-1919, as far as I know, there are two possibilities: 56th Engineer Regiment (Searchlight) 57th Engineer Regiment (Searchlight)

stratasfan Posted April 18, 2018 Share #5 Posted April 18, 2018 Can't add to what it is, but super cool patch! I love the Great War patches on the green wool. What is fun is that piece of paper that they used on the back of the embroidery! How fun!
