Clohesey Posted April 5, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2018 I seen these pop up on Ebay as a but it now, the pictures were rather poor, but enough, i pulled out my new bible (Tim Klies EGA Book), and after a quick look, decided they have a chance. Since i live in Nevada, but do not gamble in the casinos, i figured, why not gamble on these, a trip to the local casino would cost a lot more, lol. I was pretty nervous, as they were $115 and nobody snatched them up. now that i have them in hand, i am pretty confident they are a nice legit matching pair of Enlisted Collar Disks 1918 Issue Type, but i'm still not 100%, i assume these are faked a lot, I am seeking confirmation of authenticity from the Gurus if possible. Comments and opinions appreciated, Thank you.

b_hinch Posted April 13, 2018 Share #8 Posted April 13, 2018 Lovely set of French made EGA discs. Great find! Those aren't French-made - they are official issue.
Schnicklfritz Posted April 15, 2018 Share #9 Posted April 15, 2018 Calling them "official Issue" honestly doesn't cover the subject. They are an issue variation that were made in France. These French made variations were the first ones made for the Marines in the AEF. There are US made variations also. Along with perhaps a German made variation. Those aren't French-made - they are official issue.
