Ran across a photo of a US Air Service DH-4 with this insignia on the side, but I have been unable to ID it. Any thoughts? Thanks ABN

My sense is this may be a postwar photo, maybe even something painted up for one of the aviation movies of the 20’s or 30’s.

That's the Air Service Number...If there is an Aircraft Card on file you will be able to tell where it was assigned.....Can you post the complete photo ?

I use the following company to get Aircraft Record Cards...send them an email and see if they have a record card on file...The owner Craig Fuller is a good guy. The records are in the $10-$25 range depending on its size. You can email the Smithsonian for record cards, which are free, but it takes a long time. Craig's turnaround is a few weeks.....http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/default.htm
