gwb123 Posted April 4, 2018 Share #3 Posted April 4, 2018 Your wrapper has a Zip code on it. That means it is no older than 1963. I would guess this was not made for military use, but rather a civilian novelty patch. Interesting, none the less.
tredhed2 Posted April 4, 2018 Share #4 Posted April 4, 2018 This is supposed to be USAREUR, but it's not. There has been an article pubbed in the Trading Post (AJ 2008, Rag Clippings) ) on this and other patches and a new one will be pubbed in Jul-Sept 2018. This is one of a series of patches made for the collector market - never issued, never worn, not made for military use.
36thIDAlex Posted April 5, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted April 5, 2018 I appreciate the responses from everyone. It was in the original packaging and only a buck so I took a chance on it. It is always helpful to learn about the things made for collectors though, as it'll help with distinguishing possibly more valuable things down the road. Thanks!
