Fort Atkinson was a active Army Fort from 1820-1827. The fort has a living history program that we have demonstrations from May-Oct It was also the home of the 6th infantry and the rifle regiment for a time. The Fort also had many veterans from 1812. We are in our first year of our 3 year bicentennial events. For the 2018 event the theme is the 1812. We have special bicentennial events planned for June 2-3, June30-July1 & Aug 4-5. We are looking for 1812 displays and reeenactors to help our bicentennial. If you have any questions please let me know.
