Well that's an interesting way to use a bayonet! If they had put the left and right knuckle rings right up against the handle it might've made it more comfortable.

Is there any reference for the photo that shows the field gear. That is the first time I have ever seen a field gear layout that has what appears to be a knuckle-bayonet as part of issue equipment? Is it a foreign field manual?
