Siamundo Posted March 27, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2018 I was hoping someone might recognize this and be able to help pinpoint the squadron that might have worn it and when. I think it does resemble the insignia of Navy Fighter Squadron 154 -especially the two orange stripes across the shield, but I have never seen this pattern before. Could this have been an early first design before they settled on the more familiar design of the Black Knight still in use today? I have read that VF-154's lineage includes VF-837 and VF-68A before they were designated VF-154 circa 1953, but I didn't know if this would have any connection to either of those earlier squadrons. I have also attached an image taken from the internet of their current design.
Siamundo Posted March 27, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted March 27, 2018 The rear. Strikes me as being an older Japanese made patch.
