Museums in the Everett, WA area...

Recommended Posts

I found myself in the Everett area over the weekend, and couldn't resist hitting the Museum of Flight's restoration facility (I've bene a member for many years but had never been to this before), and the FHC collection. I hadn't been to FHC for over a decade and was surprised how much new stuff they had. I was, though, disappointed that the MIG-29 wasn't there...

Thanks for the update photos ...... I had an opportunity to visit the FHC a few years back, and enjoyed their special 'Luftwaffe Day'. Two of their Luftwaffe fighters, the Fw190 - (retrieved from Russian) - and the Bf109 did engine run-ups and individual as well as pair fly-bys. They have other special days, which (I believe) are advertised on their website. Well worth the effort of attending one or more. It appears that the museum is now including more armoured vehicles in their collection which makes for added viewing enjoyment. Cheers. Kenj

Great photos! I loved the FHC and remember taking my late grandfather there not long after it opened. He served in the AF in the KW and it was a joy watching the P-47 and P-51 taxi and fly over. I remember growing up and sitting in the Storch many times when it was sitting out at the Arlington airport near where I grew up. The guys restoring it were really nice to talk to. The growing collection of armored at the museum is fantastic!
