condor Posted February 24, 2018 Author Share #11 Posted February 24, 2018 Except for the duplicate Squadron 1 patches these are Navy patches. They have a connection to the Coast Guard. Division 11 tied up to the APL 55 and Division 12 tied up to the YR-71. Any information on the YR-71 patch in the lower right would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
condor Posted February 24, 2018 Author Share #12 Posted February 24, 2018 The following patches are all still attached to the shirt. Coast Guard Activities 1. Coast Guard Squadron 1 Another Squadron 1 patch LORAN Station Tan My patch. This one is interesting because the shirt is Air Force. They were the security at Tan My. Here is something you may not see again, a USCG Squadron 1 windbreaker. Closeup of windbreaker. Link to comment
MastersMate Posted February 24, 2018 Share #13 Posted February 24, 2018 Keep an eye out for an oddball 1968 Squadron 3 patch, the blue, gold and white one with the V and the eagle. Although I lost it years ago, the patch I had was logo'd as Coast Guard Squadron THEE. I believe we bought them in Subic Bay. Would wonder if there are any others that may have survived over the years.. Link to comment
