I picked up this nicely preserved 1968 dated survival ration this week. Seems to be in great shape.

Any idea what these look like inside?

These contained 4 food bars chosen at random from a list of 6 bars, Fruit Cake, Chocolate Fudge, Cornflakes, Rice and Cornflakes, Chicken Flavor, or Cheese and Potato. They also contained a packet of coffee, sugar, and soup and gravy base. In addition to the key on the bottom of the can, there would have been a P-38 can opener taped to the top. The preferred method of opening was the can opener so you hav a bigger vessel for cooking , digging, collecting water, etc. I cropped the soup and gravy mix out in the 1st picture by accident.
