Jumpin Jack Posted February 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2018 I was going through my early military momentoes and found the above Musket badge. It's identical in size and shape found on the CIB (specimen shown for comparison) and EIB badges, but it's in GOLD! The clasps are preVietnam. There are no markings on the reverse of the badge. I have no recollection as to what it represents or why awarded. I spent three years as an Army competitive shooter--MDW, 2nd Army and All Army. Can anyone provide any insight into this badge? Thanks in advance. Jack
BEAST Posted February 22, 2018 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2018 Jack, Was there a silver finish over it? ROTC/JROTC has a silver rifle badge, but I can't remember what it was awarded for.

Lsparks Posted February 22, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 22, 2018 Is it part of a 2-piece CIB/CAB? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jumpin Jack Posted February 24, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted February 24, 2018 Beast joggled my memory on this piece. It was awarded when I was in Jr. ROTC for shooting in the top five in the country in the early '50's. Thanks to Beast. Jack
