coastie56 Posted February 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2018 My wonderful wife bought me a metal earth tiger tank model. Boy is it tiny. Had to break out the tweezers. Took a lot longer than I thought it would but it turned out OK! The Details are pretty cool. A lot of insert tab into slot. The wheels were the hardest part. Nice solid barrel. Patchcollector Posted February 22, 2018 Share #5 Posted February 22, 2018 Very cool.I just learned about these models while online a few days ago.I saw the crane and almost bought it until I found out what size it was High Flight Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silver wings; Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hovering there I've chased the shouting wind along and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace, where never lark, or even eagle flew; and while, with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. b_hinch Posted February 22, 2018 Share #6 Posted February 22, 2018 These little Metal Earth kits are a lot of fun and very inexpensive. Just enough of a challenge to be interesting but not too frustrating.
Proud Kraut Posted February 22, 2018 Share #7 Posted February 22, 2018 Hi coastie56, the model section of this forum is strictly limited to model kits of U.S. personnel, equipment, vehicles, planes etc. Non-U.S. miniatures can be posted when related to U.S. military (on the same dio e.g.). Though this is a very interesting subject. Maybe you can post some Metal Earth U.S. vehicles, planes etc. in another thread? Thanks Lars
