prestoncohunter Posted February 17, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2018 My FIL's Dad was a long time railroad and we found this among his things, thought it was pretty cool.

Morlok Posted February 17, 2018 Share #3 Posted February 17, 2018 That is awesome! I've been a RailRoader for some time now. I still carry an old brass B&O key with me. It still fits the locks! The signal & switch locks have been modernized, of course, but many gates & battery boxes still use them. I haven't seen one of these, and I have seen a lot of old RR items! Great piece! prestoncohunter Posted February 17, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted February 17, 2018 Thanks Morlok, not that I would ever sell it but it's one of those items that appeals to both Railroaders and homefront collectors I would think. My FIL worked the B&O/Chessie for 46 years and his father was on the B&O for 49 years. We have found several booklets from the 1920's thru the 50's.
