Still not bad for being 147 years old! Looking forward to seeing the Remington and other Colt.

 

No doubt....this one would make a really cool early wild-west rig.

I'm looking at the bottom of the bolt recess notches in your photo----please tell me that those are not "holes" worn through the cylinder! The cylinder walls on all Colt's Richard's conversions were notoriously thin in this area! I certainly hope I am wrong on this, but between the missing ejector rod head and if the bolt had actually worn through the cylinder wall, it would account for the extremely nice cylinder scene and markings. That is to say, this pistol wasn't fired at all after one of the aforementioned calamities occurred! As I said, I sure hope this is just the photo or maybe some dirt in those areas.
