Vintage Civil War Tunic Belt Buckle Canteen Uniform Custer Infantry 7th Calvary

Recommended Posts

Especially since the shell jacket, though an original civil war produced piece, bears costumer property stamps. Maybe Custer rented it and due to some unforeseen circumstances couldn't return it.

Rough shape on the shell jacket. Big hole in the waist and the yellow piping looks almost white when compared to the liner.

Don't see the advertised Custer connection adding any premium to the parts.

The only proof you have is the owners word.

Get a notarized statement or some sort of legal document stating the lineage.

Do a rearch on ancestry to see if there is a relationship.

But someone above said that there is a costume stamp in the jacket?

They are not Custer's items (enlisted gear), so I don't even see a reason to go through the trouble of the ancestry/ notarized statement.

Accepting the word of the seller, I don't put a premium on items belonging to a ggg nephew of someone famous.
