Roystone Posted February 10, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2018 Friends, is it possible to identify recipients of WW1/post WW1 awards of the DSC from their numbers? I have seen on numbered 17079, and was wondering if it's possible. Is there a published roll? Many thanks for any ideas. Roy
tarbridge Posted February 10, 2018 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2018 That number is not in a standard traceable range.
Roystone Posted February 10, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted February 10, 2018 Thanks for the reply Tarbridge. Can you tell me the number ranges that are identifiable? This is a bit out of my area, but am curious to know the amount of these awards for WW1 and the number range for them. Also because there were quite a few retrospective awards made in the early 1930's. These too must fall within certain perameters....? I've been told there is a Gleim publication on them. Many thanks Roy
tarbridge Posted February 10, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2018 Up to about 8000...there are large missing numbers blocks even in that range.
