American Graffiti

Just got this recently, it's a nice French Lizard camo TTA allegee shirt 47/52 pattern? Not too sure, it is dated 1953.

Anyway it has been modified with the addition of two extra chest pockets made from the thigh pockets from later print camouflage trousers.

It is well know these were worn in Vietnam by South Viet troops, so quite possibly American too?

Anyway the added 'doggy' pockets give it a very American WWII HBT shirt look.

I suspect this was probably worn in Algeria though, so would not be surprised if the thread is locked.

Any thoughts appreciated,

AG

Hi Squad Leader, that's what I suspect. These were worn in the Nam though too, but the later camo pockets are more than likely Algeria.

Thanks,

AG

Owen,

Cool uniform belonging to Capt. King, thank you for showing.

I'm also so glad this transferred over to the Americans too and not just the South Vietnamese troops

You've made my day son!
